  • Hi Mary! I am celebrating my 10th anniversary at Walt Disney World this week too! Actually, we are also heading back at the end of September to run the Expedition Everest 5k with the other Disney Moms where we will continue the celebration of our 10 years. I mean heck, 10 years nowadays is like 60 years. Am I right or am I right? I'm just sayin'.

Well, I will tell you what I was thinking about doing. I say thinking about, because after I made our reservations at Victoria and Albert's, I realized I spent our "celebration" budget and then some! On our first anniversary, we did as most couples do. We brought the top to our wedding cake with us to have after dinner at a hotel near our home. When we opened up the champagne and dove into the cake, well, let's just say 12 months in our freezer did some damage. It tasted like feet.

So this anniversary I had planned to call the Specialty Cake Line (407-827-2253) and have a mini replica of our wedding cake delivered to our room along with a bottle of Perrier Jouet, which we drank at both our wedding and 1st anniversary.

You could describe your cake or send them a picture and I'll bet they could duplicate it. I mean, Disney Mom Kara got them to do a Chicken Little cake with chicken pox on his face for one of her sons, who unfortunately came down with the virus right before a trip to Walt Disney World!

I think you have to call the Disney Florist(407-827-3505) for the champagne and the Disney Cake line for the cake. Actually, I just got off the phone with Disney's Port Orleans to try to find out how you get the cake and wine together and the cast member was either very sleepy or very new and not very helpful.  It is almost midnight, but I thought that Mickey never slept!

    Have a magical anniversary!

    Laura
