Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My husband and I are considering doing the Pirate/Princess party with our 2 year old son. He isn't really into pirates or princesses though so we aren't sure if he would really be into it or not? Is it worth trying out?

- We took our family to the Pirate and Princess Party last year when our girls were 8 and 10 years old. We enjoyed it, but frankly, I can't say I would recommend it for a 2 year old. When my children were 2, the only thing that kept us sane was keeping them on their regular sleep and nap schedule. Once their sleep pattern got disrupted, then everything else fell apart. I mention this because the Pirate and Princess Party doesn't even start until 7:00 p.m. and it goes until midnight. This is well past the bedtime of most preschoolers I know. You have to decide how adaptable your son is to staying up super-late and how this will impact the rest of your vacation.
There are some unique features of the P&PP that might make it worth it for you if your son were a pirate (or princess) devotee. There are pirate-themed fireworks and a pirate-themed parade. There is the opportunity to meet the Jack Sparrow character and there is a "pirate training" class. But if these things don't seem like they would have a big impact on him, then I would wait until he is a bit older.
Hope this helps.
