Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We arrive at Orlando airport on Dec. 19th at 1:30. This is the last night of MVMCP. Would you go ahead and purchase the tickets, or do you think the timing might be risky. We are there until Jan. 2., it's our 5th trip, but never been there at Christmas!

- Christmas at WDW is very special (if a bit crowded). Going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party would be a great way to start your trip, really getting you in the mood for both the holiday and your vacation. The evening parties generally start at 7:00. You don't say where you're staying, but five and a half hours should be more than sufficient to get from Orlando International to your hotel and then to the Magic Kingdom. If you want to make things go even quicker, you could take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. This will cost more, but possibly save you as much as an hour of wait time for Magical Express.
The danger of course is in the possibility of a flight delay. If you're coming from the north, then snow is always a potential issue in December. So, only you can decide how risk averse you are. If I were in your shoes, I'd get the MVMCP tickets and hope for the best.
