Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I have seen pictures of people with lanyards and pouches. Do my young grandchildren have a need to carry tickets once in the park or can I just keep them in my wallet? Will the tickets be used once inside the parks?

- Hi Mark.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question.
Many guests, adults and children, do indeed wear lanyards with pouches in the parks. These are great for carrying your park tickets or Key To The World Cards. Many people combine the practicality of carrying their tickets in a lanyard pouch, along with the fun of displaying their Disney Pin collection on their lanyards. Your grandchildren may be interested in getting involved in the fun of pin trading during your visit. Read all about Disney Pin Trading via the link I've included for you.
Personally, I find it safest to carry all the park tickets or Key To The World Cards in one person's wallet or lanyard pouch. If we split up at any point in the park, we do divvy the cards back out to the separate parties.
You will need your individual cards to be accessible for obtaining such things as FASTPASSes for the attractions, as well as for resort charging privileges or Dining Plan if applicable. If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and taking advantage of the parks' Extra Magic Hours, your Key To The World Cards will need to be shown by each guest in order to access the attractions before and after standard park operating hours.
I hope this information is helpful to you Mark.
Please don't hesitate to write me back if you have additional questions. I'd love to hear from you again.
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World with your grandchildren!
