Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- How do Annual Passes work? How much are they?I hear they are good for one year.If we go to WDW 06/09 for 7 days and in 04/10 for 7 days,is that within a yr or do we need to go by12/09.Also how cost effective would it be for us if we did travel those dates?

- Hi Natalia!
Annual passes are a very good choice if you know that you'll be visiting Disney World more than once in a year.
There are two types of annual passes:
Theme Park Annual Passes will give you unlimited admission to the four major theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) for a year. The annual pass works like a park hopper ticket - you can visit more than one park in a day if you'd like to. The current cost as of February 2009, for an annual pass is $469 for adults and $414 for children ages 3-9.
Premium annual passes include unlimited admission for a year to the four theme parks plus unlimited admissions to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest and the Wide World of Sports complex. Current prices for premium annual passes are $599 for adults and $528 for children ages 3-9.
You can read more about annual passes and prices HERE.
All annual passes include use of Disney transportation and free parking at the theme parks. Disney also offers various discounts throughout the year for passholders for resort rooms or hard ticket events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. These can change from time to time, and there is a special website for annual passholders with this information.
If you are planning two 7 day vacations within a 365 day period of time, I highly recommend getting the annual passes. They will definitely save you money! Not only will you save hundreds of dollars on tickets, but the room discounts available for passholders can save you quite a bit as well.
Your annual pass goes into effect the first day you use it, and expires on that same day a year later. It is good for 365 days.
I hope this helps! Have fun planning your trips!
