Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- If I am staying at a disney resort and use the traditional fast passes machines throughout the parks, what will I use if the resorts have gone to magic bands? In the past I used my key to the world card.

- Hi Mark:
Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Over the past few months Disney has implemented some amazing technological upgrades to help guests make the most of the Walt Disney World Resort Vacations. With the implementation of MyMagic+ guests have been introduced to MagicBands and My Disney Experience. As the testing of FastPass+ began last year, the old "legacy" FastPasses are now a thing of the past. The old kiosks are no longer available for guests to receive the old paper FastPasses. Since you are staying at a Disney Resort, you are able to log in to your My Disney Experience Account and pre-select up to 3 attractions per day in one theme park.
Guests who do not pre-select their FastPass+ options may select their FastPasses for that day at a FastPass+ Kiosk upon arrival at the theme park. They are very clearly marked, and are at most of the old FastPass locations. Cast Members wearing teal shirts are there to assist guests making their FastPass+ selections.
Once you you have your FastPass+ selections, if you need to change your selections, don't worry. You can make all the changes you need either using your My Disney Experience Account or by visiting any of the FastPass+ Kiosks throughout the theme park.
I hope this information helps Mark. Please let me know if you have any other questions concerning the new FastPass+ options. My family and I have used this service a few times and we have found it to be very simple and a great way to enjoy our must do attractions at Walt Disney World Resort.
