Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We have a set of magicbands that we never used. We're passholders & staying in a resort soon, receiving new magicbands. Now there's only fastpass+, we made selections. Can we use our annual pass or do we have to use bands? Would we use the old or new

- Hi there, Cheryl!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your great question!
One of my very favorite things about the new My Disney Experience is that you have control over all of the different pieces right from your computer or smartphone app. If you haven't already connected your Annual Passes to your first set of unused MagicBands, you could do that now if you'd like to. If you'd rather use your RFID card Annual Passes instead of using the MagicBands for entrance to the Parks, you can absolutely do that too. You will then be able to schedule all of the FastPass+ reservations for your upcoming trip once you've connected your Annual Passes.
The new MagicBands you will receive will serve as your room key, so you'll need to keep those handy if you do decide to use your cards for Park entrance. Another thing you could do is wait to connect your Annual Passes to your new MagicBands so that everything will be together on one. This is actually what my family did on our Walt Disney World trip last year. We customized our MagicBands for our Resort stay and connected our Annual Passes to those. We are actually still using them! :)
I sure hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have!
Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
