Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- If you are going to use a rider swap pass does everyone in your party need a fast pass or just the people that are first going on the ride. Do the people that are going to use the rider swap need a fast pass for the ride as well. Before you didn't.

- Hi there, Courtney!
In order to go through the FASTPASS line in any of the Attractions, each person will need a FASTPASS except for the one person who is not going to ride. I have actually had an experience with my toddler nephew where the Cast Member did not require a FASTPASS for the two people who rode the Attraction using the Rider Switch. I would always play it safe and get one though, because those are the rules and I wouldn't want you and your family to be one short.
When using the Rider Switch, everyone in your group except the child who is not going to ride and one adult can stay behind while everyone else rides. When the first group gets off of the Attraction, an adult who just rode can stay with the non-riding child while the other adult rides. You are allowed to take one person on, so one of the people in your group gets to ride twice! This was always a favorite of my son because he used to get to ride twice while my husband or I stayed back with our daughter. It was like the best of both worlds because our daughter didn't typically like the fast attractions when she wasn't tall enough so she was thrilled to stay back.
I sure hope this helps, Courtney! Please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have!
Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
