Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi! I understand that it is still in development, but can you please explain how the new Fast Pass+ works for parades and firework viewing? Where are the viewing spots? Thank you!

  • Jennifer, I am as excited as Belle when she first saw the Beast's enormous library about the new My MagicBand technology. One bracelet allows you to purchase Mickey ears, eat lunch, enter the parks, use a FastPass, add PhotoPass pics, access your room, and more.

Love to see Mickey, Minnie and friends float by but loathe staking out a viewing spot in advance? Then a parade FastPass is for you. Currently guests with MagicBands, typically those staying on Walt Disney World property and annual passholders, may make advance reservations for FastPass+ for parades, rides, fireworks, and other attractions through My Disney Experience. For most firework shows and parades you may enter the viewing area about 30 minutes in advance.

For Magic Kingdom parades, the reserved spot is on the hub in front of the Castle. The Rose Garden area to the lower right of Cinderella Castle is the place FastPassers can enjoy Wishes. For IllumiNations, expect to view the show lagoonside where you enter WorldShowcase from FutureWorld between the two Tower gift shops. At Fantasmic! Disney has tested both reserving an area for FP+ guests and simply guaranteeing seating.
