Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My 22 year old daughter has Autism, can you give me tips on where to receive the pass where we don't have to wait in line and anyother helpful tips. She is especially keen on meeting all the PRINCESSES.

  • Hi there Sandra,

Thanks so much for writing.  How exciting that you are bringing your daugther's to Walt Disney World.  In my experience, Disney is an extremely "user-friendly" destination for special needs individuals and their extra-special families.  If your daughter's disability prevents her from waiting in long lines, you can request a Guest Assistance Card at Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first.  If you are headed to Magic Kingdom first, there is a Guest Relations location inside City Hall on Main Street, which will be on your left as you enter the park.  There is another Guest Relations outside the turnstiles, but in my experience, the lines are longer here.  The card won't eliminate your wait time for attractions, however, will enable your daughter and up to five people in your party to access them via an alternate entrance, which generally has a shorter line.  In some cases, you'll be directed to use the fastpass queue, and in others, you'll be directed to an entirely separate entrance.  If your princess is a fan of Disney princesses, I'd recommend a character meal at either Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus in Norway at Epcot or 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.  All offer wonderful access to the Princesses in a fabulous setting.  Be sure to book as close as possible to 180 days before your arrival by calling 407-WDW-DINE, or online.

I hope your daughter and entire family have a magical trip!
