Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Are the traditional advantages to Magic Your Way tickets ie: extra magic hours, my magic band (when it's done testing), Ticket to the World, available if I purchase my tickets from Undercover Tourist?
  • - Asked by Lalani from Utah on 11/2/2013
  • Hi Lalani,

Extra Magic Hours and Key to the World Cards are currently benefits given to guests who stay at a Walt Disney World resort. If you stay at a hotel on Disney property, you will be able to hit the parks for bonus hours no matter where you purchase your tickets.

If you do purchase your tickets from an outside source such as Undercover Tourist having them added to your KTWC can be tricky. Even if converting your paper tickets to a plastic key card does not work, however, you may use your card for charging privileges and a room key.

Since MagicBands are still in the testing phase, we do not yet know how this new technology will work with tickets purchased from a nonDisney vendor. Currently only guests staying at a WDW resort are trying out MagicBands. My guess would be the bracelets would function similarly to Key to the World Cards. Even if you could not add your paper ticket and use your MagicBand for park admission, you would probably be able to charge, utilize FastPass+, and access dining reservations with your bracelet.
