Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My husband, 4-year old daughter and I will be staying Wilderness Logde during the Wine and Dine Half Marathon this year. My husband is participating in the race - how can he get to the ESPN complex without a rental car? Any Disney transportation??

- Hi Shelly, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
The official event information is as follows: "During the Wine and Dine Half Marathon in October, the following host resorts are currently available for the weekend at special rates and include transportation to all race weekend activities":
All-Star Sports Resort
Port Orleans French Quarter Resort
Beach Club Resort
According to the event page: "IMPORTANT! Remember that transportation is ONLY provided from our host hotels! Transportation to/from all race related events will be available for this event ONLY if you stay at the resorts listed above. No other race transportation will be provided from the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resorts. You will have to provide your own transportation if you elect to stay at another resort." See: HERE.
However, my family and I are attending this exciting weekend and running Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K. We are staying in a different Disney Resort than the ones listed above. I asked about transportation as well and was informed that as long as I get myself to one of the host Resorts, I'm welcome to ride the buses to the Wide World of Sports. From the Wilderness Lodge, if your husband takes the boat to the Polynesian, he can pick up the ESPN bus from there. The other option will be a taxi, which will cost approximately $10-$15 and may be worth the time saved.
Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful weekend.
