Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I have recently been diagnosed with wheat and milk allergies. We leave on a Disney Magic Cruise on Jan 10th. Can you please tell me what are my options for eating Gluten/milk free. I don't want to spend my cruise trying to find out where I can eat!
- - Asked by Cathy from Florida on 1/4/2014
- Welcome aboard, Cathy! It's almost time for you to set sail on the Disney Magic! What a spectacular trip you have in store!
Disney Cruise Line is excellent at working to ensure that every cruise guest, including those with allergies, are able to enjoy their meals onboard. Be sure to chat with your Head Server when you arrive at your dinner the first night of your cruise. He or she will be able to point you in the right direction of meal options that suit your particular allergies. Disney Cruise Line suggests that those with allergies try to eat all of their meals in the main dining restaurants as they can more easily accommodate allergy needs, however, at Cabanas and the Quick Service spots by the pool you can certainly chat with the Cast Members to be advised on which food items to avoid. I do believe that there was even a gluten free pizza crust offered near the pool the last time I sailed, but menus are subject to change and availability, so be sure to ask onboard.
Disney Cruise Line offers soy milk, lactose free milk, rice milk and plain almond milk upon request at the full service restaurants onboard, so let your server know your preference.
I hope that comforts you as you get ready to sail, Cathy! I just know you're about to head out on what is sure to be a very magical cruise! Happy sailing!
