Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I see several facial treatments on the fantasy. Would any of them be more beneficial for rosacea? Also do men get facials as well as women? Going in Oct./2013

  • Welcome back, Janice!

There are some wonderful spa offerings on the Disney Fantasy, and facials are just some of what they have in store for both men and women at the Senses Salon and Spa. If you suffer from rosacea, I'd recommend printing out the descriptions of the facials on the Fantasy and showing them to your dermatologist before you set sail. He or she knows your skin best and can recommend if one of those would be okay for you. In learning more about rosacea, normally only the mildest facials, if any at all, are recommended, unless they specifically note that they are designed for people with rosacea.

Since none of the facials on the Fantasy are described as being specifically for guests with rosacea, I would be hesitant to try them until speaking with your dermatologist just to be sure. You certainly wouldn't want to aggravate your skin while you're supposed to be enjoying a relaxing cruise!

If a facial isn't in the cards for you, Janice, do be sure to check out the amazing massages and pedicures that Senses Spa offers, as that would be a great way to help you relax and kick off an amazing cruise!

If you have further questions about the facials, stop by Senses as you board the ship and chat with the Cast Members there who can give you more details as well.

I hope that helps, Janice, and let me know if you have further questions before you set sail!
