Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My Fam including two children ages 3 and 4 are sailing i3 days in spring of 2010. We are not planning any shore excursion due to our budget limitations. I have read that Nassau can be a bit dirty?/ do you think it is worth it or should we stay on the ship

- Guess what? Our family did the exact same thing the first time we sailed with the Disney Cruise line. Our son was having such a great time on the ship and we wanted to save money, thus we did not sign up for any shore excursions.
There are some wonderful places to visit on Nassau such as the Atlantis Resort. However, if traveling with young children and/or on a limited budget, I would absolutely recommend staying aboard the Disney Wonder.
In fact, head to the Mickey Pool after breakfast. Your children will have the pool nearly all to themselves. This is one of our favorite memories from our first cruise. My husband and I lounged nearby while our son swam in the Mickey Pool and went down the slide a zillion times.
Later, we checked our son into the Oceaneer Club and we went ashore to do some shopping. We were on a limited budget so we mostly browsed a few stores. No need to feel obligated to disembark in Nassau though.
You will truly have a wonderful day if you stay aboard the Disney Wonder!
