Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Would you recommend the Alaska cruise for kids aged 7, 8 and 12? I've heard that they are not very kid friendly.

  • Welcome aboard, Kerry! If you're looking to cruise to Alaska with kids, Disney Cruise Line is the best way to do this! The cruises are incredibly kid-friendly and offer so many learning opportunities for both kids and adults as well as exciting Port Adventures to get your family out into the beautiful scenery.

Check out my fellow Disney Cruise Line Mom Nancy's video series about the Disney Alaskan cruises. She'll give you some great tips as well as inside information and glimpses into what you can expect.

Keep in mind that there are amazing Youth Counselors in the Youth Clubs onboard who create some really fun opportunities for kids to learn about the upcoming Alaskan ports before even setting foot off the ship. The on deck salmon bake is fun for the whole family, and the kids even have special time when youth activities are re-located to the upper decks so the kids can have fun while enjoying the beautiful scenery as you sail through Tracy Arm. What an experience!

So, please, don't rule out a cruise through Alaska with the kids. In fact, this is tops in my list as a very educational way to vacation with the whole family. Plus, if your family is the adventurous type, there are plenty of ways to get out and explore nature in Alaska with Disney's Port Adventures!

Have fun planning, Kerry and please let me know if you have other questions before you set sail!
