Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- How do we sign up for the 5km on castaway cay? Is there a smaller run for the kids ? So excited!

- Welcome aboard, Michelle! It sounds like you'll be headed out on a magical Disney cruise very soon! Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is one of my favorite spots in the whole world. With so much to do (and also plenty of space to do absolutely nothing too!), you'll be able to make your own perfect day on this tropical island!
The Castaway Cay 5K is a runDisney Fun Run. It is not chip timed, and much more laid back than a traditional race. Some of my friends and family have participated in the Castaway Cay 5K's in the past, and have had such fun. I am really looking forward to running it myself in just a couple of weeks now that I've taken up running.
Each evening you'll receive a Personal Navigator in your stateroom. This listing of daily events and activities will let you know when and where to meet up onboard on the morning of your port stop at Castaway Cay to join the 5K run. Once there, you'll sign up, receive a bib number and walk off the ship with the runners group. Currently the 5K is for ages 12 and up, and there isn't another kids' run. But, believe me, there will be plenty of fun for your kids all day long at Castaway Cay. If you'd like to take them out on the bike trail, there are bikes to rent, Crab Races, Character Dance Parties and so much more. That isn't even including the fun to be had at Scuttle's Cove (the Youth Club on the island), Pelican Plunge, Spring-A-Leak and so many other fun spots around the island.
Have fun as you continue to plan, Michelle. Please let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail!
