Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • What is the best way to deal with sand toys? They will take up a lot of room in the luggage just wondering if we can leave them on board which sounds like a waste to buy them and leave them, but may be our only option.

  • Welcome aboard, Denise! I can see you're planning ahead for your visit to Castaway Cay! Though there are really cute Disney sand toys for sale on the island, many guests do prefer to save a bit of money and bring their own from home. The dollar stores have some great sets that are nice to pack for an inexpensive surprise for the kids! Alternatively, you can usually pick up some inexpensive sets in any of the ports.

Quite often, guests don't want to pack the sand toys to take home, so often they will leave them behind on the island or in their stateroom. That is fine. Though, if you rinse them off, you might find that they are easy to slip into odd spaces here and there in your suitcase since they're so lightweight. Then you can keep them for your next beach trip! It's up to you, Denise!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation with Disney Cruise Line! Please let me know if you have any other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
