Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We will be sailing on the Disney Wonder in Nov. and are looking for a Dolphin Excursion. We were wondering about Dophinaris in Cozumel. Are the dophins basically in a swimming pool or in the regular water? We are wanting to take our 5 and 7 year olds,

  • Welcome aboard, Kendra! It's only a few weeks now until you set sail on the Disney Wonder for a magical cruise! I'm glad to hear you are looking at some of the exciting Port Adventures Disney offers.

The tanks at Dolphinaris in Cozumel are situated like individual pools, yes. You can view the details of the Swim at Dolphinaris on Disney Cruise Line's website. Check out the slide show of a few photos of the experience. One of the photos shows you an ariel view of the tanks, so you can get a better idea.
This Port Adventure is supposed to be a great one!

I'd also recommend, though, that you check out the Dolphin Push, Pull and Swim in Cozumel at Chankanaab National Park. While I haven't experienced this adventure, I do keep hearing rave reviews of this particular dolphin swim. What appeals to me more about this particular swim over the Dolphinaris swim is that there is a sea lion show after the dolphin interaction, as well as time to explore the rest of the park. It's almost like a double Port Adventure getting to do more than just the swim.

Either way, both of these dolphin adventures in Cozumel are great, so just choose the one that sounds like the best fit for your family and you'll enjoy every moment!

Let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail, Kendra!
