Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are travelling on our first ever cruise with husband and 11 and 6 yr old and we can hardly wait! We are sailing on the wonder on March 16, and we have a boarding time of 11:30. Will lunch be available to us?
- - Asked by Mandeep from British Columbia on 1/7/2014
- Welcome aboard, Mandeep! It's so exciting to chat with guests who are about to experience their very first cruise with Disney Cruise Line! My family has sailed on all four of Disney's ships quite a few times and we still get really excited planning the next one! You're in for such fun!
The 11:30 a.m. time you were assigned is your port arrival time. It is then that you can plan to arrive at the port to check in and get even more excited about boarding. Once you arrive there, you'll receive a boarding number and then hang out in the port terminal until your number is called to board the ship. Boarding doesn't normally begin until about 1:00 p.m., but we've seen numerous times when the ship has been ready, so they've started boarding earlier. So, in the mean time, sit down, relax, watch some Disney cartoons on the tv's, get a photo with Mickey or one of the other Disney friends who will pop out to visit guests, and wait until your boarding number is called.
Finally, it'll be time to board the ship! You'll get a family photo taken just before you walk on, then you'll step into the atrium lobby as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival. There is no better way to begin a vacation than this! Once onboard, a Cast Member will pull your family off to the side and let you know where lunch is being served (Beach Blanket Buffet and Parrot Cay). Simply head to one of those spots, sit down, enjoy your first delicious taste of Disney Cruise Line and let the vacation begin!
Happy planning, Mandeep! Stop back if you have any other questions before you set sail this spring!
