Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My Fiancé and I will be going on a 7 Night Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy in January and I've read online there are formal and semi-formal nights on 7 night cruises. Is this true? If so what is the dress code?

- Welcome aboard, Lindsay!
The seven night sailings on the Disney Fantasy do include both a Formal Night and a Semi-Formal Night. The other nights will be cruise casual dress. There is no official dress code for the main dining restaurants for Formal and Semi-Formal night, but you'll see everything from tuxedos and formal gowns to more simple dresses for women and shirt and tie and jackets for men. Wear your two dressiest outfits that you pack those nights and you'll be all set. The Disney characters will be out in their formal best those nights too, so it sure makes for some great photo opportunities!
If you choose to make reservations at one of the Adult Exclusive restaurants onboard (which I highly recommend!) there is a dress code in those restaurants, so be sure to follow that as they are strict on the dress code there. You'll find that listed on Disney Cruise Line's website. Advanced reservations are required, so plan to book that dining once you are able to begin online check-in (75 days prior to sailing for first time Disney cruisers).
In addition to the Formal and Semi-Formal nights, you'll also be treated to Pirate Night on the Fantasy. On this fun evening, guests can dress in pirate costumes and enjoy a pirate-themed meal, swashbuckling deck party and of course, the Buccaneer Blast Fireworks at Sea! Adults and kids alike wear their pirate best that night, so plan to pack a costume or some pirate accessories. Of course, there will be plenty for sale onboard too!
I hope that helps as you plan this special cruise, Lindsay! Congrats on your engagement! Let me know how else I can help before you set sail!
