Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I and my family are going to be taking a Cruise on Aug 28 do I need to bring a suit for dinner if we are only going to the Family dinners we are not going to any adult only things? Thanks.

- Hi, James!
You sound like my husband..."Do I really have to pack my suit?" For a Disney cruise which is 5 nights or less, you really don't need a suit at all, and you certainly can get by at the three main restaurants at dinner each evening with a pair of slacks (khakis will do) and a collared shirt (a golf shirt is great).
However, I do encourage you to consider throwing in a sportcoat/jacket...just in case. My husband actually thanked me the last time we were on the Disney Dream for insisting he pack his blue sportcoat. We received an unexpected gift from a friend who knew we were sailing that weekend and surprised us with an onboard credit to our shipboard account. We used it to dine at Palo, and we would have missed out if he had not brought along his jacket.
I always tell my friends and family to pack a jacket and a swimsuit for a Disney cruise no matter what the itinerary! I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.
