Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Two questions. The first being are there hair dryers in the rooms or do I have to bring my own. As well, a little confused about the dining. Do we book our breakfast and lunch in the form of reservations? Or is it informal and just show up and be seated

  • Hi, Roxanne!

On Disney cruise ships, there are hair dryers in each stateroom.  On the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic, a hairdryer is mounted on the wall in the bathroom.  On the Disney Dream, it's located in one of the drawers of the dressing table/desk.

As far as dining on the ships, the only meals you have to make reservations for are if the adults in your group would like to dine at Palo or Remy.  Otherwise, you'll be assigned a time for dinner (main or second) for rotational dining, and you'll learn which restaurants you'll visit each night once you board the ship. In addition, you can always skip rotational dining on any evening and eat poolside at a quick-service location or at the casual buffet -- which actually serves a la carte in the evenings.  For breakfast and lunch, the buffet (Cabanas on the Disney Dream, Beach Blanket Buffet on the Disney Wonder and Topsiders on the Disney Magic) is where you can go for a quick, casual meal.  In addition, the quick-service locations serve a few breakfast choices and open fully for lunch. Room service is available 24-hours a day -- except on debarkation day.

For dinners at the main three restaurants, you'll tell the servers at the entrance your table number (located on your stateroom key) or simply show them your stateroom key.  They will seat you at your table.  At the other locations, you can sit anywhere you would like.  I hope that gives you a better idea of what to expect.  I've included a video explaining Disney Dream's dining options to show you a little more of what I'm talking about. Let me know if you have more questions.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!

    Andi
