Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I have 4 young children (9,7,5,4). I'd hate to have to be separated from my husband. Are there rooms that can accommodate larger families? We want to travel July 2011
- - Asked by Stephanie from California on 7/24/2010
- Stephanie, I certainly don't blame you for not wanting to be separated during a family vacation! You do indeed have several options to this dilemma.
Most of the Disney resorts can offer connecting rooms where there is an internal door that can open so both rooms are together to come and go. Some parents like to have the kids in one room with the door open so they can keep lights on later after bedtime.
Other options include seven Villa resorts on property that will offer several bedroom configurations for a larger family as well as maybe the extra bathroom. You can click HERE to read about your choices for sleeping five or more in one room or villa. One of the largest options for the family is the Treehouse Villas which can sleep up to nine. Another choice is the Fort Wilderness cabins which can sleep six but there is only one bathroom. Another down side of this for the larger family is the lack of storage space for suitcases and clothes. The closet is very small and only four small drawers. Other then that it is a fun place to stay! Finally, you might want to consider the All Star Music Family Suites. This is a great option for a great price! You can read all about these at the above site. Ultimately it might come down to pricing whether a villa, two resort rooms, a cabin, or a suite is the best for your family!
