Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Looking for a very honest answer. We are big cruisers and love Disney but have avoided DCL since we do not have kids. Are there really enough adult only areas to keep us happy and will the crew be interested in our needs if we don't have kids?

  • Welcome aboard, Pamela! I'm so glad you are considering a Disney cruise!

I can very honestly say that my husband and I have said to each other on numerous occasions that kids or not, we will only cruise with Disney from now on. In fact, I can't wait to plan a "parents only" cruise without the kids so my husband and I can take in all the excitement that the adults activities have to offer onboard.

Each ship has an amazing nighttime district where adults can enjoy music (both club style or the relaxed atmosphere of a piano bar), take in adult variety shows and participate in all sorts of other activities. Of course, that's just a sampling of what there is to do at night. Don't forget the Broadway style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre and the amazing meals in the main dining restaurants and the Adult Exclusive restaurants Palo and Remy.

During the day, you'll be as busy as you'd like when you take a look at all that the ship has to offer. From trivia games to game shows, character greetings, tours, wine and other beverage tastings, the Art of Entertaining food demonstrations (and tastings!) and so much more, you can be busy with adults only activities all day and night. There are so many other activities that Disney lovers of all ages will enjoy from crafts, Deck Parties and more, you can join other adults as well as families with kids to partake in these events.

The Quiet Cove Pool area is one of my favorite spots onboard. It's reserved for adults only and is such a nice, quiet sanctuary to relax, swim, soak up some sun (or shade if you're like me!), enjoy an adult beverage or a specialty coffee and plan your adventures for the following day. Don't forget the amazing Port Adventures (many for adults only) that set off in each port. I promise you would have the time of your life as a couple on one of Disney's pixie-dusted ships, Pamela! Let me know how I can help as you continue to plan!
