Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi Nancy, My husband and I are planning to take a Disney cruise with our 5 and 7 year old kids. We want to have a few dinners by ourselves. Are there babysitting services and/or supervised activities (where they can't escape) for our kids during dinner

  • Ahoy Donna!
I'm happy to report the answer to your question is YES!  There will be plenty of opportunities for you and your husband to enjoy many meals together because your little sailors will be busy enjoying the Oceaneer Club and Lab which is included in your cruise fare.  These youth spaces are open from early in the morning to late at night for secured programming and supervised free play!  Checking in and out is easy and safe because your children will be equipped with a "Mickey Band" that they will wear which keeps track of their coming and goings and their location in the club and lab.  Once they are in, they will not be able to leave until you return for them and use your family's password to check them out.  There are always fun activities scheduled which will be listed in the daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator each day.  While they are busy having the time of their lives, you and your husband can dine in the main dining rooms, Palo (adult-only restaurant for a nominal fee on all ships) and/or Remy ( adult-only restaurant for a nominal charge on the Dream and Fantasy).   You can also experience the adult-only entertainment district, relax by the Quiet Cove Pool or grab a cup of specialty coffee and a delectable delight at the Quiet Cove Cafe!  If you do plan a meal or two without the kiddos, check your Personal Navigator for alternative dining options for them.  The Oceaneer Club and Lab does serve lunch and dinner, but the kids must be checked in during their specific serving times which will be listed in the newsletter as well!
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Donna!  I'm about out of room so please write back if I can assist you further!
    Nancy
