Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are planning on bringing alcohol in aluminum water bottles in our carry on bags, since they are less fragile than glass bottles. Is that OK? Also, are we allowed to fill up reusable sport water bottles with water at the beverage station?
- - Asked by Kristin from New Mexico on 2/4/2011
- Hi, Kristin!
Disney Cruise Line does not prohibit guests from bringing alcohol onboard. However, please be aware that any fragile items (including alcohol) must be hand-carried onboard in a day bag and must be stored in original, unopened containers.
Also, you'll need to know that beverage coolers are not permitted onboard (cannot be checked or hand carried). Guests who request a Wine Steward to open and serve a bottle of champagne, wine, or liquor that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $15 per bottle.
I suggest wrapping any glass bottles you're carrying on in bubble wrap and then placing them in large zip-topped plastic bags. I actually did this in my checked luggage for air travel once, and two bottles of wine placed in the center of my luggage got there safe and sound. And, you are welcome to refill your sports water bottles at the beverage stations on board.
Hopefully, this will help you plan for your cruise! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
