Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I will be sailing on the Disney Dream for the first time with my DDs age 18 and 21.  My concern is that while my 21 DD will have lots of options of things to do, I feel my 18 year old DD will not.  Will there be activities for kids her age?

  • Welcome aboard, Veronica! Congratulations on your very first cruise with Disney! Disney Cruise Line offers quite a bit for every age guest, and your daughters will not be left out!

When you get your first Personal Navigator, which lists the day's events and activities, keep an eye on the Adults activities line for the Club 18*21 events. These might be something your girls will really enjoy. While there is no set space for this group, the Cruise Staff team hosts various events for guests between the ages of 18 and 21, where they can meet and mingle with others their age while enjoying some fun activities throughout the ship. There is usually at least one or two of these events each day, and my suggestion is for them to show up to the first couple for sure, as that is when others their age will meet for the first time. After that, some tend to form their own groups which go off for adventures on their own throughout the ship.

Besides that, there are plenty of fun family activities for all of you, and don't forget the Adults Only areas like Quiet Cove Pool, the nighttime spots in District with nightclubs and lounges, and Palo and Remy, two great adult exclusive spots in which to dine.

There are other fun adult events like the Art of Entertaining cooking demonstrations, the Art of the Theme Show tour around the ship, cabaret style shows for adults, beverage tastings for those 21 and older, and many other fun activities all day and night.

I hope that assures you and your daughters that there will be plenty of things to keep them busy and entertained and plenty of spaces to rest and relax away from the active kids on the ship too. Have fun as you continue to plan, Veronica, and please let me know if you have other questions before you set sail!
