- We are planning a Disney cruise next year. My daughter will be 15 and son 13. My daughter is shy and would like to rely on her 13 year old brother to come up to Vibe with her. My 13 year old is gifted so older than his age. Will they allow this? thanks

- Welcome aboard, Bonnie! It's exciting to hear that your family is planning a magical sailing with Disney Cruise Line next year! Your teenagers will have a wonderful time in the Youth Clubs onboard!
Most of the time, the counselors are happy to let a child who is very close to the age requirements for Vibe enter if they want to spend time with a friend or sibling, as long as they have the parents' permission. I'd suggest simply stopping by Vibe during Open House on embarkation day. There you can chat with the counselors about your son joining in on the fun with his sister. And since you mentioned that your daughter is shy, I'd also suggest that she attend Vibe on the very first night of the cruise. Usually they have an Ice Breaker activity where the teens really get to know each other. Since they're all new that first night, it's a great time for her to meet up with other teens who might be nervous to join in at first too. Much better to go when everyone is new than try to join in later when many of the kids have gotten to know each other already. Either way though, the counselors are great about helping all the teens feel comfortable and be included. I'm sure she'll have a wonderful time!
I hope that helps as you continue to plan your cruise! Please stop back and let me know if you have further questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
