  • Hi Mary, welcome aboard! Your daughter is certainly one lucky teenager that she gets to take a cruise on the beautiful Disney Dream next month!

She will have an amazing time with the two of you during all of the fun family events that go on around the ship all day and night. But, when she is ready for some teen time, since she is 14 years old, she is actually welcome to hang out in either Edge or Vibe. The age limit overlaps at 14 as some 14-year olds prefer to hang out with the tween group, while others are at the point where they'd prefer to be with older teens. So, it's really up to her!

Since there is no check in/out necessary by parents at the Edge or Vibe, your daughter can spend some time in each spot and decide where she feels most comfortable, or even go back and forth. I would recommend that the first night, she pop into both clubs and meet the other teens and counselors that will be there with her during the cruise. That first night is the best time to really get to know other teens, as they are all meeting for the first time and have yet to form groups or plan the week's activities.

Your daughter might find a group of friends she enjoys and that might determine which club she prefers. Either way, she is welcome in both! I hope that information helps as you continue to plan your exciting cruise, Mary!
