Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Do you have to prebook time in the kids clubs on board or can you just show up whenever you want? Also does it ever fill up ? Is there a time limit on each visit to the kids club or a limit of how many times a child can visit?
- - Asked by Jackelyn from Manitoba on 2/7/2014
- Welcome back, Jackelyn! Disney Cruise Line's Youth Clubs are the top entertainment areas for kids at sea, and offer some of the longest operating hours out there!
The clubs normally open around 9:00 a.m. and stay open until midnight, allowing kids to play to their heart's content while Mom and Dad enjoy some time in the adult areas of the ship. If your kids are between the ages of 3 and 12, you can register them during your online check-in, for the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. Once registered, they'll receive a Mickey Band at the port that allows them to be checked in and out of those spaces by their parents. No need to pre-book times, they just show up when they want to join in on the fun. Check your Personal Navigator each day, as this schedule of events will let you know what is happening in the clubs, so your kiddos can choose their favorite must-do's.
Kids can stay and play in the Youth Clubs as long as they'd like, no maximum! And believe me, sometimes it is hard to get the kids to leave. My kids adore participating in the fun events and entertainment offered there, quite often I'll go to pick them up and they ask me to come back later!
The tween and teen clubs, Edge and Vibe, do not require registration, as kids those ages can come and go from the club spaces on their own. It's the nursery, It's A Small World, that does require advanced reservations for little one three and under, and does carry an hourly fee. Check out the details on reserving space on It's A Small World Nursery's webpage.
Your kids are in for an amazing time onboard, Jackelyn. While they're being entertained in the clubs, I hope you'll be able to sneak away for a romantic dinner at Palo or Remy, the Adult Exclusive restaurants onboard. Reservations are required, so check it out!
Have fun planning!
