Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi - We are surprising our daughter with a Disney Cruise on the Dream for her 9th birthday. Her birthday is Thurs and we leave Sunday. I am hoping to do a Character call to surprise her but I was wondering what else could be done on the ship?

  • Ahoy, Lyleanne!
Wow, what an incredible birthday surprise for your daughter! She'll be over the moon when she finds out she'll be cruising with Captain Mickey on the Disney Dream. A Character call is a great way to surprise her!

Once onboard the ship, there are plenty of ways to celebrate her special day. We like to bring magnets to decorate our stateroom door. You could decorate your door with special personalized birthday magnets - she'll love seeing them, and your Stateroom Host will know there's a birthday girl onboard! I encourage you to visit the DCL Gifts and Amenities page, where you can order stateroom decorations and surprises to be waiting for her when you board the ship. You can even order a super-cute DCL specialty cake to be delivered to your stateroom or to your dining room.

With a quick stop by Guest Services to pick up a birthday button, she'll enjoy birthday wishes from cast members, characters, and fellow cruisers! Also, make sure to note on your reservation that you'll be celebrating on your vacation. Your servers are sure to give the birthday girl some extra attention!

I hope this helps. Wishing you a magical voyage with your birthday princess!
    -Diane W.
