Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We will be going on a Disney Cruise for the first time in March 2014 for my son's 12th Birthday. Will Disney Cruises do anything special for his Birthday?
- - Asked by Dawn from North Carolina on 12/27/2013
- Welcome aboard, Dawn! Celebrating a birthday onboard one of Disney Cruise Line's pixie-dusted ships is a great way to enjoy such a special day! I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday onboard the Disney Wonder last year!
Be sure to note on your reservation that you'll be celebrating your son's birthday. Then, stop by Guest Services to pick up a birthday button. If he wears that around, Cast Members will most certainly go out of their way to make him feel special! I don't want to ruin the surprise, but the dining servers do like to make the birthday guests feel very special, so you might just find that he gets a special treat or song at dinner that night.
Have you checked out the Gifts and Amenities page of Disney Cruise Line's website? There you can browse some fun celebration packages. It's always fun to open the stateroom door as you first board and find it decorated to celebrate a birthday! On that same page, you'll see that cakes are available to pre-order should you want that presented at dinner or delivered to your stateroom.
Many guests also put magnets on their stateroom doors, so you might purchase a few birthday-themed magnets at home to bring along to decorate the door as a surprise too!
Finally, you might consider booking an extra special Port Adventure for your son's birthday. There are so many to choose from, I'm sure you can find one that is just right for him!
Happy planning, Dawn! Please let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail in a few months!
