Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We will be sailing on the Disney Dream in late March. I have a 9 year old son and 11 year old daughter and I'm confused by the ages of the activities for the Oceaneer's Lab - can both my children participate?

- Hi, Tami!
Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- you are going to be awed and amazed at how spectacular she is and how her cast and crew cater to your wishes!
For your children, the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab are specifically designed and staffed for guests ages 3-10, and Edge is the cool, happening place for tweens ages 11-13. Having four children myself of varying ages, it seems like we always have at least one child who falls into one of those "borderline" ages, and Disney Cruise Line (DCL) counselors work with us to make sure the experience is suitable for that specific child.
My recommendation is to register each of your children for where s/he is supposed to be according to their birthdays -- your son for the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab and your daughter for Edge. Yet, once you are onboard for Embarkation Day, visit each area and talk to the counselors. If your daughter feels more comfortable accompanying your son in the Oceaneer's Club or Oceaneer's Lab, I think they would welcome her there. You know your children best, and DCL doesn't want you or your children to be uncomfortable. Therefore, there are definitely youth clubs where both of your children can participate -- it just may be a matter of finding the best "fit" for them.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
