- We are going on a 7 day/7 night Caribbean cruise in June. My son's 5th birthday falls right in the middle of the cruise and I was wondering if they do anything special for kids. We have been on Disney cruises before but never had a birthday during the trip

- Welcome aboard, Andrew! If you're a seasoned Disney Line guest, you know that there is plenty of fun to be had on the ships whether you're celebrating a birthday or not. But, if your son is turning five, what better place to celebrate than onboard a Disney cruise?
I was fortunate enough to celebrate my last birthday (I won't tell you which one!) on the Disney Wonder, and it was the best one yet. Be sure to call Disney Cruise Line and let them know about your son's birthday. They will add a note to your reservation so your servers and other Cast Members onboard will be aware. They may just surprise him with a card, button or big "Happy Birthday" song at dinner.
If you'd like to surprise him when he enters your stateroom, consider pre-ordering the Happy Birthday Celebration Package. Can you imagine the look on his face as he opens the door to see those decorations? Birthday cakes are available for pre-order on that form as well. Disney has other fun baskets that would be a nice surprise too. Of course you also know that the shops onboard hold all kinds of treasures, and I'm sure you will spot a few items that he'll love in there as well.
You might consider a special Port Adventure on his birthday. Check out all the fabulous adventure Disney has put together for their guests. I bet there is one that is just right for your family.
You are giving your son something priceless for his birthday. The gift of a Disney Cruise Line vacation is one he'll never forget! Happy sailing, Andrew, and the happiest of birthdays to your son!
