Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We're thinking of taking a disney cruise with our 2yo. Is she too young to enjoy it? What is offered for her age?
  • - Asked by Breanne from Indiana on 11/3/2013
  • Ahoy Breanne!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  In my opinion a Disney Cruise is the perfect vacation for any age Guest!  My son was 18 months on our first sailing, and even though he doesn't remember it, I treasure the very special memories we made! He loved the characters, splashing around in the water play area for toddlers, and being strolled around while enjoying his ice cream which I'm sure your daughter will love too!  She will also love the Disney Junior themed events held for toddlers, the high energy dance and deck parties, visiting the kids club with you during their Open House hours, and spending time in the ship's nursery.  The nursery onboard does charge a nominal hourly fee for childcare, but the low cost is well worth it for you and her!  Crafts, story time, movie time, and free play can all be enjoyed while she is checked in!  Utilizing the nursery will give you and your husband time to experience the adult-only offerings on the ship such as the Quiet Cove Pool area, the spa, the adult entertainment district and adult-only dining (an extra per person fee does apply for the restaurants).
When your cruise is over, it will feel like everyone had a fantastic vacation experience!  If you haven't already, you can request a free cruise planning DVD on the Disney Cruise website to help you with you planning.  Also, please let me know what other questions you may have about setting sail with Captain Mickey!
Have a magical day and happy planning!
