Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I would like to know if my 28 month old son will be able to play in the Oceaneers Lab and/or Club on the Dream Cruise, if he's potty trained and mature enough to stay and play? Worse case, can we stay with him and play anytime or only family time?

You definitely can bring your toddler to Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab at the Open House on Embarkation Day and anytime there is a designated family time for those spaces. However, because of his age, you will need to register him for It's a Small World Nursery. The general rule of thumb for the Youth Activities spaces usually allows for a child to be bumped up to the next youth area if s/he is within a couple of months of that threshold birthday. Yet, I'm sure you understand that they have to have guidelines in place so that very young children are given the supervision they need with smaller child-to-counselor ratios. It's not based solely on whether or not the child goes to the bathroom or is mature beyond his/her years. It's also a matter of safety with such a large disparity of ages (3-10) sharing space, resources and counselors.
I hope this clears things up for you. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
