Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are taking our 2nd cruise on the Fantasy! We are arriving on 1/31 (at 4 p.m.) for a 2/1 departure. Is it best to stay at the Orlando airport hotel? Will our transfers work? What should I chose as a boarding time?

  • Ahoy Elizabeth!
Welcome to the Moms Panel and congratulations on your upcoming Disney Fantasy sailing!  Arriving a day early is a great way to ease into vacation mode and make your embarkation day a lot less stressful!  Since you have Disney Cruise Line transfers, you don't need to worry about selecting a port arrival time.  You will be able to check-in whenever the motor coach drops your crew off at the cruise terminal.
For the night before, I have two suggestions that will work with your ground transfers.  First, you can choose to stay at the Hyatt located at the Orlando airport.  Upon checking in, you will let the hotel staff know that you are a Disney Cruise Line Guest, and your luggage will be picked up the following morning.  When your family is ready, you will walk over to Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center on Side B, Level One to board a Disney Cruise Line motor coach.  Transportation begins around 9:30 AM and runs until early afternoon.  Your other option is to book a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Disney Cruise Line transportation picks up from all the resorts between late morning and early afternoon.  Your luggage will be picked up from your resort room around 8:00 AM, and your pick-up time will be given to you upon check-in since you are arriving the day prior to departure.  If you choose the Walt Disney World Resort, your family can enjoy a night at the resort or visit Downtown Disney for dinner, shopping and entertainment.  Either option works well prior to cruising, Elizabeth so my advice is to check rates and availability online.  If you decide to stay at Walt Disney World, you will want to link your cruise reservation to your Walt Disney World Reservation since you are using ground transfers.  You can do so by calling (800) 951-3532.
I hope I've been helpful!  Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!
    Have a magical day!
    Nancy
