- Welcome aboard, Linda! It sounds like you'll be sailing the brand new Disney Fantasy this time next year! It's a beautiful ship, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the beautiful staterooms on the ship.
We've stayed in all types of staterooms on the Disney Cruise ships, and though we really love the verandah staterooms, we are certainly happy to sail in an inside stateroom as well. With three boys, you'll surely be out and about quite a bit, and you might find that you aren't in your room much. My family is typically in our stateroom only to sleep, and get changed for dinner, and that's about it! So, if I had the chance to sail in an inside stateroom and save $1300, we'd do that for sure. Put that extra $1300 aside toward your next Disney Cruise Line adventure, Linda! And believe me, after sailing on the Fantasy for the first time, you'll want to come back again and again!
You might not know about the magic portholes in the Inside Staterooms on the Fantasy and Dream. They feature a realtime view from a camera outside on the ship's deck so you can virtually peer out and see the same thing you would if it were a real porthole in your stateroom! Plus, the magic comes in when special guests arrive now and then in your porthole! Perhaps Tinkerbell will make a flyby or Aladdin and Jasmine will wave at your boys from their magic carpet ride. It's a really neat perk available only in those inside staterooms. Your four-year olds will especially find this magical, Linda!
So, it's really up to you if you'd like to spend the extra money on a veranda, but like I said, I doubt you'll miss it with so much going on around the ship all day and night, Linda. Please let me know if I can help with anything else as you continue to plan!
