Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi Moms panel! You all are amazing! My family and I are planning our first trip to DL in 2015. We always go to WDW. We were wondering if there was a bus like the DME at DL and if so does it pick guest up at LAX or another airport? Thanks!

  • There's never been a better time to visit Disneyland Resort and I am so honored to have the opportunity to spread a little Pixie Dust on your upcoming vacation.

While there are several shuttle companies servicing Los Angeles International (LAX) and John Wayne (SNA), my recommendation is Disneyland Express operated by Grayline Anaheim. These large motor buses make one loop around the terminal to pick up passengers before heading on a non-stop journey to Disneyland, making stops at each of the Disneyland Resort hotels: Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney's Grand Californian.

The Disneyland Express buses are Disneyland-themed, like Magical Express and feature air-conditioned, comfortable interiors. There is plenty of storage space under the bus for your luggage, but please note, you will have to take your luggage with you...no room delivery service like that of Magical Express.

Unlike other shuttle services, Disneyland Express transfers passengers directly to Disneyland Resort without stopping at numerous destinations along the way. Unlike Disney World's Magical Express service, Disneyland Express is not operated by Disney and charges a fee. To check out fees or make a reservation, call Grayline Anaheim (714)978-8855 or visit them on the web at GraylineAnaheim.com.

Other options include renting a car, which can be inexpensive if you snag a great rate online.  There is an Alamo office in Downtown Disney and oftentimes, low one-way rates are available so you can pickup at the airport and drop off upon arrival!  Taxi or Town Car is another option, but I only recommend this if traveling in from SNA.  LAX is too far away and taxi or town car would cost an arm and a leg!

I have enjoyed answering your question and encourage you to write back with any follow ups! Planning Disneyland vacations is what I do best and I just know yours will be a most magical occasion!

    Best Wishes, Amanda F.
