Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are visiting friends in CA in April. My cousin (also a CA resident) has offered to buy discounted CA resident passes for us, but since we live in New Mexico, I was curious if we can use those? Do we need a CA ID to use those passes?

- Hi, Lindsay!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great question. I’m so happy to hear you have a trip to the Disneyland Resort planned this spring! That’s one of my favorite times of year to explore the park, enjoy the great Southern California weather, and take in the colorful flowers and lush foliage around the grounds.
The So Cal Resident Tickets available for use now through June 6, 2014 are valid only for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999, and proof of residency is required for both purchase and admission. Every adult using these special tickets will be expected to present a valid California ID upon theme park entry, so you wouldn’t be able to use them as an out-of-state visitor, unfortunately.
I hope this information is helpful, Lindsay, and that you enjoy a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with more questions as your planning continues.
Wishing you magic,
