  • 1st trip to Disneyland. Wife and I want to go to Napa Rose so looking to ditch the kids, but my son won't be 5 yet. What are our best options for childcare while we go to dinner? Thanks.

  • Hi, Patrick!

I’m glad to hear you’re planning your first family vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth this October. I agree that you and your wife should make time for a date night at Napa Rose—it’s truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience you won’t want to miss.

Pinocchio’s Workshop is a children’s activity center at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa where kids ages 5-12 can enjoy an evening of games, Disney films, and arts and crafts for an additional fee. While there is not a similar facility for children 4 years old and younger, parents can arrange for in-room babysitters to care for their little ones while they enjoy an adults-only meal or night of fun in the theme parks.

Visit Guest Services after checking in at your Disneyland Resort Hotel to inquire about these childcare services. The Cast Member who assists you will provide a list of the outside babysitting services recommended by the resort, and a babysitter from the service of your choice will come to your hotel. An hourly fee will apply, and there may be a minimum amount of hours required.

I hope this helps, Patrick, and that you enjoy a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please write back to me with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
