Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My family is thinking of staying at Disneyland Hotel for our next visit. We would like to use the monorail to get into DL. Does the monorail start running early for Resort guests during Extra Magic Hour days for DL or do we have to use the main gate?

  • Hi, Lisa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Disneyland Hotel is a wonderful choice, so I’m glad to hear you’re considering it for your upcoming visit! The rooms are quite large, and I love how the chic furnishings and décor are sprinkled with a dash of Disney magic.

Yes, the Disneyland Monorail does open early on days when an Extra Magic Hour is offered at Disneyland Park. It generally begins operating one hour prior to the official park opening time, so you should be able to board at the Downtown Disney District and ride the Monorail to the Tomorrowland station.

I hope this helps, Lisa, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with more questions as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
