Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Are the Reserved Viewing options for World of Color different for the different dining options of Ariel's Grotto, Wine Country Trattoria and the Picnic Meal and if so how do they compare? Our group spans three generations of young and old.

- Hi Dan! Thanks for writing back. Now that I know a little more about your situation, I can tailor my answer more toward a larger group.
By dining at either Ariel's Grotto or Wine Country Trattoria in conjunction with the World of Color Dining Package, you party will be given tickets to enter the "Green" or reserved/preferred WOC viewing area. This section is centrally located and is usually a bit less crowded than the general FASTPASS viewing areas. The preferred viewing area opens at 7PM and my advice is to arrive a few minutes before that. When the area opens, head straight to the rail...as far forward as you can get. You "may" feel a little overspray from the water projections here, but the view is totally worth it!
If you purchase the WOC Picnic Package, you will be given a FASTPASS which can be used to enter either the "BLUE" or "YELLOW" section of the general viewing area. These sections are located on either side of the "Green" preferred section and if you arrive early enough, and are able to head to the rail, the views are just as good. By purchasing the WOC Picnic, you are essentially just eliminating the need to wait in line for a FASTPASS, but this area is first-come, first-served and can fill up rather quickly.
Based on the size and ages of your group, I think the Dining Package will work best for you. You can all enjoy a delicious meal together before heading over to the preferred WOC viewing area. As I said earlier, this promenade is less crowded and boasts incredible views of Paradise Bay. I usually prefer the picnic, because I am only a family of 3. We can easily squeeze through the crowd in the FASTPASS sections to secure a great spot for the 3 of us! If you're traveling in a larger group with diverse ages, you'll want this experience to be as easy peasy and enjoyable as possible!
