Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • What is the best strategy to see World of Color? Will we get wet? My son is sensitive and does not like to be wet unexpectedly.

  • WOC is a water show which takes place in the center of Paradise Pier with the beautiful backdrop of DCA. While you definitely won't get wet, there will be a fine mist of water in the air during the show. The closer you are to the Bay, the more mist... but by no means will you get soaked, but I would recommend a poncho for your son if you plan to be near the front of the viewing area.

Although the magical projections and colorful water sprays of WOC can be seen from many areas along Paradise Bay, some of the best vantage points are located from within the reserved WOC viewing areas.  In order to enter the reserved WOC viewing areas at Disney California Adventure (DCA), you will need to either have a WOC FASTPASS (FP) or a ticket from purchasing a WOC dining package. In my opinion the best strategy for viewing WOC is to purchase a WOC Picnic prior to your arrival. Purchasing the picnic guarantees entry into the WOC viewing areas, at a reasonable cost without the hassle of waiting in line for a FP. There are several picnic options to choose from and each one is very tasty and will be packed and ready to go when you arrive.

If you decide to choose the FP option, be sure to arrive at the WOC FP kiosk located near the Grizzly River Rapids attraction at DCA. Since WOC is extremely popular, you can usually expect long lines at the kiosks and its not unusual for the WOC FastPasses to run out very early in the day!
