- You and your family are going to have such a fabulous vacation at the Disneyland Resort. With the addition of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure and all of the awesome and classic attractions at Disneyland, now is a great time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. I take my two daughters who are 8 and 10 on adventures there all the time. At Disney California Adventure they are huge fans of the Tower of Terror and Screamin'. I prefer Soarin' as it shows my home state, California. At Disneyland, which is literally right next door, we all spend time exploring Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and having a fun scare on the Haunted Mansion. As you can see there will be plenty of fun and magical memories for you and the whole family. The best time to visit is usually when schools are in session. I prefer early December because the crowds are pretty light and all of the breath taking holiday lights and Christmas trees are up and sparkle. No ones does the Holidays like Disney. The best hotel is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. I will be staying there tonight as a matter of fact! I am very excited because the whole resort is beautiful and the service and food are top notch. The best part of staying in the hotel is the fact that one entrance leads directly into Disney's California Adventure. My wife and I love to take the girls on a light night ride on Grizzly River Run. We get soaked, laugh and then head back to our room which is just steps away. Please send me any other questions you have and let me assist you in making this the best vacation ever! I will see you at the parks.
