Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Can you please tell me if there is a difference between the marathon in January and the Princess marathon in March? This will be my first half marathon. Thanks for your help and keep up the great job panel!

- Hi Shaun!
Disney moms Jodi, Diane C., Karen, Whitney, Jennifer and I just completed our first half marathon at the Princess Half Marathon in March. We had an amazing experience! Disney does endurance events like no other, and if you are interested, I strongly encourage you to consider signing up for a race! In the days leading up to the races, amazing expos are held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with guest speakers and vendors. The Princess Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile course and is held in March. Each January, Disney hosts, "Marathon Weekend," which is comprised of several endurance events. It is the largest sporting event held annually at Disney World. The Marathon is a full 26.2 miles, that takes participants through all four major theme parks, and is held on Sunday. There is also a half marathon (13.1 miles) held on the Saturday before the marathon during the same weekend, as well as some family fun runs. Finally, for guests wanting an extra challenge, there is "Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge," in which guests complete both the half marathon on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday. I just signed up for my first marathon this coming January. I hope you'll consider joining me!
