  • Hi Kendrick!

Welcome to runDisney!  I think you will be hooked on the races after the 10K:)

I highly recommend choosing a Disney World Resort for your race weekend.  During Princess Half Marathon weekend, ALL of the Disney resorts will be "host" resorts and have bus transportation running to and from all race weekend events.  This is a huge benefit to staying at a Disney resort.  There are resorts in all prices categories (Value, Moderate, and Deluxe)  You can call 407-WDW-IRUN to book your trip and inquire about pricing.

The race begins very early.  I like to be on one of the first few buses out.  If you are driving there from somewhere close, I recommend being on the road by 3 a.m. to avoid heavy traffic jams.

For park tickets, you can buy them in advance or when you arrive.   If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you should buy them in advance so that you can take advantage of making your FASTPASS + selections before your trip.  This is another bonus to staying on property.  The FASTPASS + system is still in testing phase, so at this time, only Disney Resort guests can make their FASTPASS selections in advance.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
