- Rhode Island
I was born in Havana, Cuba. I'm bilingual and completely fluent in Spanish. My family lived in Chicago so I still consider it my hometown. I was able to pursue graduate studies at Northwestern University as the recipient of a NSF Award. After graduate school I worked as a High School Mathematics teacher in Brookline and Lexington, MA. I'm currently teaching Spanish in RI, but only part-time, so as to accommodate my children's very busy and demanding schedules. I love to travel and my favorite hobbies are photography and scrapbooking. I thoroughly enjoy art museums, the performing arts, music, movies, reading, and learning about other cultures. Those who know me best will describe me as highly enthusiastic about life in general, but extremely passionate about Disney in particular. They will say my love for all things Disney is intoxicating and contagious! I like to spread my Pixie Dust whenever possible as I truly enjoy sharing my Disney experience with everyone!
About My Family
My husband and I have been married for fifteen years. We currently reside in Rhode Island with our two beautiful children. My husband will often wear his Winnie the Pooh ties, Hawaiian Disney shirts, and Mickey Crocs to work. However, not on the same day! Our ten year old daughter is as passionate about Disney trip planning as I am! She particularly enjoys Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, and Soarin.' Our five year old son is simply obsessed with the Little Green Aliens from Toy Story and will often beg to go back to Disney World to ride Toy Story Mania! On any given day he will inform us that he wants to sail on "the Disney ship!" We always value our family time but we particularly treasure the priceless memories we've created and shared while visiting Disney World and cruising with Disney. Together we collect Disney ornaments, and Disney Vinylmation. I'm an avid Disney Dooney & Bourke collector. It is safe to say we are the quintessential Disney family.
About My Disney Experience
My husband and I honeymooned in Florida and the Caribbean and visited the Walt Disney World Resort. Our youngest child was only three months old when our family first cruised on the Disney Magic. One can never be too young to cruise with Disney! We've also cruised on the Disney Wonder. I sailed on the Disney Dream's Christening Inaugural Cruise on January 19, 2011. We can't wait to cruise on the Disney Fantasy in 2012! We absolutely love Disney Character Dining. Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom is our family's favorite! Friends and family members planning to visit Walt Disney World, or cruising with Disney Cruise Line, ask for my advice on how to maximize their enjoyment while staying within budget. I'm always happy to share the many ways in which they can make their vacation an affordable and magical experience. I particularly enjoy helping families with special needs and dietary restrictions plan their Disney vacations. My goal is to make each Disney trip uniquely magical and highly memorable!
